Les Vaudevey are located in a cool and narrow valley. Sun appears in the early morning and lasts until mid-afternoon. The ripening of grapes is slow, which helps aromas to concentrate and acidity to be kept. High Environmental value 3A.

Terroir :
Domaine Laroche owns 90 hectares of vineyards anchored on the most beautiful crus, with 12 Premiers Crus Climats, 3 Grands Crus Climats, and the Reserve de l'Obédience, a unique blend from the Blanchots, as well as the Obédiencerie de Chablis, where the first Chablis wines were made in the 9th century.

Vinification and maturation :
Hand harvest, ageing on fine lees in historical cellars at Obédiencerie in barrels of 1 to 7 years old of 228L, 400L, 600L and stainless steel tanks.

Vintage Report :
The harvest 2020 started on August 25th. The harvest was impacted by drought, particularly for the yields of certain plots that were well exposed to the sun, such as the Blanchots and Vaillons. The Blanchots and Chablis Vieille Voye were the first plots to be harvested, followed closely by the Premiers Crus Côte de Léchet (August 27th), L'Homme Mort (August 30th ), and the Vaudevey (September 1st). We finished on September 8th with a parcel of Chablis village, destined to be part of the blend for our Cuvée Zéro.
