It presents itself as a jovial and fragrant wine that perfectly conveys all the nuances of the Bierzo region: old vines grown on steep, rocky slate soils from which the best of Mencía is extracted. Its 2011 vintage was named by Parker the best wine in Spain in terms of value for money, and in this one it continues to present itself as a great wine with a surprising freshness with its characteristic mineral touches. Made during 10 months in barrel, with Alicante Bouschet, Mencía and white grape varieties. A dense and dark cherry red wine. High intensity on the nose, with aromas of black fruit in liquor, smoky notes and very powerful roasted notes. Smooth entry on the palate, caressing the palate, elegant, sweet and mineral, with medium body and good persistence.
