A decade ago there was a revolution. A beer revolution. Punk IPA is the beer that kick-started it. This light, golden classic has been subverted with new world hops to create an explosion of flavour. Bursts of caramel and tropical fruit with an all-out riot of grapefruit, pineapple and lychee, precede a spiky bitter finish. This is the beer that started it all - and it’s not done yet... PUNK - Quintessential Empire with an anarchic twist. Punk IPA is brewed to an approximate Original Gravity of 1.048 using two malted barley varieties. Eight varieties of hops were added into the kettle during boiling the wort, whirlpooling and for dry-hopping. The wort is cooled and transferred to a fermentation vessel where it is fermented to an approximate Final Gravity of 1.008. The beer is then matured in tank before being filtered and packaged.
