Product Details

Weingut Korrell is a family estate located in the winegrowing region Nahe. The Nahe region is one of the smallest winegrowing regions in Germany and fascinates with a unique and big range of different soils. The grapes of the 2019 Riesling Beerenauslese were grown in a single vineyard around Bad Kreuznach that is called “Paradies”, which is German for paradise. The soil mainly consists of Muschelkalk and clay marl. Harvest was entirely done by hand selecting only the ripest single berries. The berries where then pressed and the must settled naturally by gravity. In the following, fermentation took place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats for about four weeks. Another three months on the fine lees added even more roundness and complexity to this Beerenauslese. The wine was bottled in spring 2020 with 6 %vol. alcohol, 199.5 g/l of residual sugar and almost 10 g/l of acidity to balance the sweetness. Only about 1000 bottles of 375ml were produced.
