Château Belleverne's Gamay vines grow on siliceous clay on gentle slopes. Whole bunches, sourced from a single domaine, are put through carbonic maceration - the process by which bright, fruity Beaujolais wines are traditionally made. Very fresh, delicate style. Appealing aromas of crushed strawberries and autumn leaves with herby, savoury layers. This Beaujolais' fresh, herbaceous core is wonderful matched with strongly flavoured savoury dishes such as dried meats, liver and onions and mature hard cheeses.
