Product Details
Sassicaia was a wine first produced to be enjoyed at the estate only by horse-racing mad Marchese Mario Incisa della Rocchetta. But when he realised the ageing potential of this Cabernet dominant Bordeaux blend, he released a little onto the market, starting with the 1968 vintage. He'd created an Italian thoroughbred. And in the 49 years since, it's become arguably Italy’s most sought after and highly-prized red, year after year. In the year 2000, the family introduced Guidalberto as a second wine: an introduction to the estate’s spectacular terroir. And it’s been getting better and better, now under the management of his granddaughter, Priscilla. Try this with Osso Buco, or any rich stew.
