Produced by the famous Jose Cuervo company, Especial Gold is a blend of reposado and unaged blanco Tequilas. It's a perfect choice for making Margarita cocktails, and has a mild agave flavour. Once matured the blue agave plant from which tequila (takes between 8 and 12 years) occurs, the jimadores (manipulators Agave) prune the leaves leaving the center of the plant (pineapple ). These are cooked 12 hours. After allowed to stand, pineapples are carried to a mill where the fiber is separated and juices and honey are extracted, sugars and vanilla are added for fermentation. Then distilled twice. Color: slightly golden hues. Aroma: The nose, this tequila offers a strong burn alcohol, with very slight hints of orange peel and sugar confectionery detectable. Taste: The flavors recede, a bitter and astringent note appears herbal, before a final cracked black pepper grapefruit and leave a strong alcohol note at the end.
