Marcel Couturier comes from a long line of farmers. But while the family always owned vineyards, it was only Marcel who decided to concentrate solely on winemaking. While he only started bottling his own wines in 2005, he’s quickly risen to a position in the Mâconnais where he’s prized for the clarity and precision of his wines - as well their outstanding value for money. Marcel’s son, Auxence, is a believer in organic and biodynamic farming. He started working with his dad in 2018, and they immediately set about converting the estate: from 2021, it’s certified organic, and from 2022 it will be certified biodynamic. Marcel has also been joined by his daughter Cladie, in running the estate. Fresh and mineral white Burgundy, enjoy this with river fish.
