Earth, licorice and Christmas fruitcake as well as a lush texture make for a very appealing and charming generic Bordeaux. There is slightly more structure here than most of the wines from this humble appellation possess, but that is a sign that it is probably capable of lasting more than 1-3 years. This is more proof that Bordeaux can still offer tremendous value.
