Château Fontarèche is surrounded by 160 hectares of sustainably farmed vineyard. The grapes for this vibrant blend of Carignan, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Marselan are sourced from plots located beside and behind the Château, classified as Corbières AOC. The vines sit on an ancient limestone terrace and are rooted in a combination of gravel and limestone soils covered by large pebbles that lend an expressive yet structured character to the finished wine. Garnet in colour, the Tradition Rouge boasts an expressive red fruit character with notes of ripe strawberries, red cherries and redcurrants married with subtle spicy notes. The palate delivers a dynamic aromatic freshness, structured around refined tannins and ripe red fruit flavours, supported by a refreshing acidity.
