Raúl Pérez's winery manages to offer all the expression of Bierzo through the native red grape. From there, Castro de Valtuille Barrica is a single varietal Mencía wine from vineyards grown at altitudes above 550 meters above sea level. They are distributed among hundreds of plots totaling about 60 ha. in the municipality of Valtuille de Abajo, on sandy-limestone soils and 80% of them have already exceeded half a century of age. It is vinified following traditional procedures.
