Origin The Rüdesheimer Berg Schlossberg is the steepest vineyard site in the Rheingau, with a slope of 70%. This site owes its name to the Ehrenfels castle ruins. The vineyards of Rüdesheimer Berg, especially from the protected Berg Schlossberg, enjoy intense sunlight. Slate and Taunus quartzite store heat during the day, which they release to the vines at night. Vinification Even before harvest, we pay attention to a quality-oriented management of our vines in the VDP.GROSSEN LAGE SCHLOSSBERG in the Rüdesheimer Berg. Harvest was done by selective hand picking in several passes. Subsequently, the grapes are transported to the winery with great care and very gently in small boxes. The base wine is fermented in temperature-regulated stainless steel tanks. The sparkling wine is made according to the classic bottle fermentation and the long aging on the lees in the bottle of more than 48 months, makes it a top quality sparkling wine. After the sparkling wine is disgorged, that is, separated from the yeast, no further dosage is added. This sparkling wine is therefore classified in the category "brut nature". Tasting Note The "Prestige" Riesling Sekt brut nature shows a bright lemon to straw yellow in the glass. The nose reveals tones of lemon balm and brioche. On the palate, these aromas continue together with peach and a slight yeast note, due to the long yeast storage. This sparkling wine convinces with a very nice and creamy melt as well as slender acidity in the finish. Long lingers the aftertaste and makes you want more. A great sparkling wine for great moments.
