Product Details
A year with an exceptionally rainy spring, especially in May and June. The sanitary pressure was quite high but in the end, it evolved favourably thanks to a hot summer but without excess due to the sea entrances. There were few days with temperatures above 30°C. Since the end of June, rains have stopped, and the presence of wind has helped to reduce the
pressure of mildew in certain fragile areas. This is an early vintage as the year has been hot since January. The harvest finally began on August 14th at Mas la Chevalière, 6 days ahead of 2019. The earliest Chardonnay grapes were the first to go through the doors of the winery.
The rains at the end of August and the temperature differences between day and night were favourable to the phenolic ripening of the reds.
Conclusion: This vintage will be balanced for both the whites and reds, with in particular a very good ripeness on the Pinot Noir.
