Product Details

The French Distilleries et Domaines de Provence was founded in Forcalquier in 1898. One of the long line of owners, Henri Bardouin, was absolutely fascinated by plants. It is not surprising that in the 1980s, a pastis which contains a mix of 65 different plants and spices from all over the world came into being. That pastis was, of course, created by and named after him: Henri Bardouin Pastis. TASTING NOTES: Color: Yellow features a brown, iridescent green reflections due to the mere presence of plants including wormwood. At this time there is no dye. The product is clear and bright. Smell: the first notes of anise and then gives way to aromas of plants and exotic spices like cardamom, grains of paradise, tonka bean ... Taste: Strong attack plants and a more structured development due to the presence of mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) and more complex due to the presence of spices, to finish with a good aromatic persistence.
