His reds are more famous, but this remarkable white wine from Jesús Mendoza is every bit as exciting. Made from Viura with 20% Malvasía and Garnacha Blanca, it's like a white Rioja crossed with a top Burgundy. The new French oak is very well integrated here and the freshness of the cooler vintage really shines through on this pithy, refined, floral cuvée showing undertones of fresh pastry and a core of lemon butter and beeswax.
