Glenfiddich has released a Travel-Retail exclusive limited-edition 19 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, created to mark the first year of its partnership with the Aston Martin Formula One Team. The whisky reflects the shared values of Precision, Complexity and Refinement” that underpin both Glenfiddich and Aston Martin. The 19 Year Old was matured in a combination of hand-selected American and European oak casks, complemented by Montilla wine casks. The combination of casks has created a vibrant and complex whisky with notes of Seville oranges and warm, woody spices. On the nose, the whisky opens with notes of raisins, dates, walnut loaf and dark chocolate, Seville orange, sticky marmalade and treacle pudding. On the palate, it delivers vibrant flavours of warm, woody spices with ground nutmeg, cinnamon, a hint of liquorice and a buttery pastry character. The finish is long and lingering, marked by woody spice notes.
