The 2019 Connétable de Talbot is the second wine of Château Talbot from the Saint-Julien appellation in Bordeaux, offering classic Médoc character with approachable refinement. It shows a medium-bodied profile built on a blend dominated by Merlot with Cabernet Sauvignon, delivering a well-defined bouquet of red and dark berry fruits, spice and subtle herbal nuances. On the palate the wine is balanced and elegant, with ripe cassis, plum, tobacco and hints of cocoa, supported by integrated, soft tannins and fresh acidity leading to a pleasant finish. As a second wine it combines early accessibility with the structure to develop with short-term cellaring.
